Questions before you start.
Which devices does Coddi run on?
Coddi is a Mac app for now. It needs a Mac with Apple silicon (M1 or later) and macOS 14.2 or later. Download it to record a conversation or upload an audio file, generate notes, and ask questions about your meetings. On first launch, sign in or create an account.
Do I need an internet connection?
For cloud transcription, note generation, and AI answers — yes. Once you’ve downloaded the on-device model, you can transcribe on your Mac without a connection.
Which languages does Coddi understand?
English, Russian, Spanish, and many more. The exact list depends on whether you transcribe in the cloud or on your Mac.
Do I need to tell people I’m recording?
Yes — let people know before you record and get their consent. Coddi doesn’t notify other participants that a recording is running.
What gets sent to the cloud?
With cloud transcription, your audio goes to the speech-recognition service. Notes and transcripts are stored in your account. To generate notes and answers, Coddi sends the relevant text to an AI provider. How we handle your data
Who can read my notes?
You decide who else gets access. Anyone with a public link can read the note, and you can turn link access off at any time.
